Job summary

FiberLight LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead field operations for installation, maintenance, repair, and expansion of the fiber network. You will manage field technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.

Responsibilities include overseeing OSP and ISP construction from permitting through as-built, coordinating with municipalities and DOTs, and supporting network design and cost estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Experience in telecommunications or utility construction.
• Proven leadership and PM skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Project.
• Experience with GIS or mapping software such as OSPInsight.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Oversee OSP/ISP construction projects from permitting to as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with permitting agencies and municipalities.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage labor and material requisitions.
• Track milestones and prepare contractor pay applications.
• Develop and review cost estimates for network expansion.
• Support network planning and design initiatives.
• Manage service contracts and third-party support.
• Direct emergency response activities and outage restoration.
• Monitor safety compliance and company policies.
• Provide leadership and training for field staff.
