Job summary

National Fitness Partners, owner of Planet Fitness franchises, is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Reading, PA. You will deliver friendly member service, sign up new members, and assist with club operations in a fast-paced environment.

Starting at $12 per hour with scheduled increases at 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months thereafter. Benefits include PTO, 401K, health options, life and disability coverage, and more.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using provided scripts.
• Greet members, sign up new members, and tour facilities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases at the POS.
• Promote fitness classes (PE@PF) to members and guests.
• Maintain a clean, safe club environment.

Hourly increases at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months, after the first year, based on anniversary date.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

QualificationsJob Requirements

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
