Job summary

Peterson Farms, Inc. is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Lead in DeLand, FL. The role provides technical leadership to FSQ operations and ensures compliance across plant operations with FDA and local regulations.

The successful candidate will oversee sanitation programs, CIP validations, HACCP and SQF activities, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with the FSQ Manager and FSQ Techs on shift schedules.

Qualifications

• BS or related science degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in FSQ roles in food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation routines and HACCP/SQF/FSMS is important.
• Able to work under FDA/USDA and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support FSQ Manager in compliance with FDA/USDA and local regs.
• Coordinate sanitation, CIP validation and verification routines.
• Lead and execute SQF, HACCP, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track FSQ metrics and investigate CAPA and non-conformances.
• Coordinate release of ingredients, packaging, and finished products.
• Provide leadership to FSQ staff during shifts.
