Job summary

Pero Family Farms Food Company LLC is seeking a QA/QC Lead Technician to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations. The role is based in Delray Beach, FL, and is a full-time onsite position under non-exempt status.

Responsibilities include HACCP program testing, sanitation validations, and QA documentation management, with a strong focus on food safety and product quality. 401(k) and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Food quality inspection experience; produce experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Must be able to follow complex verbal and written instructions and work independently to resolve quality-related problems.
• HACCP certification or training.

Responsibilities

• Critical Control Point testing of HACCP program.
• Operate PPA pumps, sanitizing outlets and test to meet Organic wash requirements.
• Operate chlorine pumps and test to meet chlorination wash requirements.
• Sample pulling for shelf life, microbiological, and customer requirements.
• Pre-Operational testing of sanitation including ATP testing of surfaces.
• Monitor and test metal detection units for metal-free production.
• Packaging and seal testing for container types.
• Calibrations on scales, thermometers, and testing tools.
• GMP monitoring to ensure a safe food environment.
• Color code enforcement for sanitation, organics, allergens, etc.
• Hold and release, rework, and cut size monitoring.
• Daily review of QC documents and inventory of QC documents.
