Job summary

Freshly Go in multiple store locations seeks a Fruit Cutter Specialist to prepare fresh cut fruit for sale while upholding safety and quality standards. Training includes a 1-week orientation before assignment. The position is temporary full-time and based on business needs and availability.

The role requires handling fruit with care, following recipes, and ensuring clean, sanitary work areas. A Food Handler Certification is recommended. Join a team focused on fresh produce and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to safely use knives and food preparation tools.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must take initiative and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards.
• Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., proper handwashing, glove use, temperature control).
• Properly label, date, and rotate product using standard procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and prep surfaces.
• Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment.
• Stock and organize the merchandising stations so they look full.
• Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables to have ready to sell.
• Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.
• Maintain an active Food Handler Certification.
• Other duties as assigned.
