Job summary

AFC Corporate is hiring a Fruit Cutter Specialist to operate fruit and vegetable stations in Freshly Go locations. The role emphasizes preparing fresh cut fruit for retail, ensuring quality, safety, and presentation. Training begins with a 1-week orientation at a designated site.

Assignment duration depends on business needs and availability. Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining sanitation, labeling products, and promoting produce through sampling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety practices.
• Ability to safely use knives and food prep tools.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to recipes and portion standards.
• Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (handwashing, glove use, temp control).
• Label, date, and rotate products using standard procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area and prep surfaces.
• Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and prep equipment.
• Stock and organize merchandising stations to look full.
• Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables for sale.
• Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations.
• Maintain an active Food Handler Certification.
• Other duties as assigned.
