Job summary

Freshly Go in our stores offers a temporary full-time Fruit Cutter Specialist role. You will prepare fresh, cut fruit for retail, uphold safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards, and participate in daily product sampling. Training includes a 1-week orientation at a designated site.

You will work with knives and prep equipment, maintain quality, and support station readiness. Prior food prep or grocery experience helps, but commitment and reliability are key.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to safely use knives and food preparation tools.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must take initiative and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, slice, and package fresh fruit according to company recipes and portion standards.
• Ensure all products meet freshness, quality, and appearance standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., proper handwashing, glove use, temperature control).
• Label, date, and rotate product using standard procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Safely operate knives, cutting tools, and food preparation equipment.
• Stock and organize the merchandising stations so they look full.
• Prepare and cut fruit/vegetables to have ready to sell.
• Promote fruit/vegetables by sampling daily.
