Prince William Water is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to supervise and assist crews in the maintenance, construction, and repair of water distribution and sewage collection systems. You will locate utilities, mark lines, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include leading field operations, training team members, and handling daily assignments. On-call duties and collaboration with GIS and fleet teams are expected.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in water distribution and/or sewage collection systems.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; CDL with Tanker endorsement within 120 days.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card (DOT) within 120 days.
• Must pass the air brakes knowledge test.
• Forklift certification within 90 days.
• VDOT Basic Work Zone Traffic Control certification within 90 days.

Mansioni

• Lead and train crew in maintenance, construction, and repair of water/sewer systems.
• Excavate and repair sewer/water mains, manholes, and related facilities.
• Perform field locating and mark lines; verify utility locations with contractors.
• Ensure site safety by following SOPs and participate in on-call/emergency work.
• Complete documentation in Cityworks and coordinate MISS Utility requests.
• Provide work direction to Utility Workers and oversee contractor work.
