Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet families, show new arrivals around, and answer questions.
• Be the calm in the storm by using trauma-informed care, active listening, and de-escalation techniques.
• Distribute supplies, connect families to resources, and assist with food service as needed.
• Conduct room checks, monitor the building, and know when to call the on‑call manager or authorities.
• Keep records by writing shift notes, incident reports, and mandated reporter documentation.
• Enforce shelter guidelines with patience and respect, and support new teammates as they join.
