Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a First Line Risk & Control Analyst to join the risk management team. You will act as a first line of defense, supporting risk programs and business unit activities in line with the company’s risk appetite and corporate strategy.

You will collaborate with business units to identify and manage risks and controls across all risk types, monitor policies and procedures, and serve as a communication channel between Risk Management and operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Experience with general banking operations and products.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations.
• Experience documenting process maps and identifying risks and controls.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

• Support risk and control updates and data collection from various sources.
• Facilitate meetings to review process understanding and documentation.
• Execute risk projects and document processes and narratives.
