Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a First Line Risk & Control Analyst in CityScape. The role focuses on risk management across business units, ensuring adherence to risk policies and the corporate strategy.

You will collaborate with Risk Management to monitor controls, document processes, and support risk issues and mitigations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in risk-related fields, a related Bachelor's degree, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Knowledge of general banking operations including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Experience documenting process maps and identifying risks and controls in processes.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or execute risk programs and business unit risk activities in adherence with the company's risk appetite and strategy.
• Assist with collection of data and documentation for risk updates; help map processes and narratives.
• Support identification of risks and controls, assess control environment, and identify mitigations or gaps.
• Engage with risk SMEs to discuss risk context and severity, including third parties and regulatory matters.
