Job summary

Avalon Housing is a nonprofit organization providing supportive housing and 24-hour front-line services through Residential Support Specialists. This part-time role is based in Ann Arbor, MI, with duties including front-desk monitoring, tenant support, and crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work well with diverse people in a non-judgmental way.

Responsibilities

• Check visitors in and out, answer phones and monitor security systems.
• Maintain safety and security of residents by monitoring access areas and enforcing rules.
• Intervene in crises, respond to emergencies, and contact emergency response systems as needed.
• Coordinate services for tenants and contact outside service providers.
• Work with other staff and visiting service providers; refer tenants to clinical staff as necessary.
• Initiate maintenance requests and attend staff meetings and trainings.
