Job summary

Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Family Services Support Coordinator to provide outreach, conduct assessments, and connect tenants to housing and supportive services.

You will collaborate with property management and community partners, help tenants develop action plans, and assist with daily living needs while maintaining strict documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or behavioral science field.
• Three years of relevant experience in housing, social work, or case management are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing outreach and engagement to Avalon tenants.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and help tenants develop action plans.
• Coordinate eviction prevention efforts with property management to support housing permanency.
• Advocate with external community resources for medical, mental health, substance use, and other supports.
• Assist tenants with conflict resolution among tenants and neighbors.
• Build community and peer support among tenants through events and activities.
• Meet documentation requirements dictated by program needs.
• Work with clients in homes, community centers, and the wider community.
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
• Assist tenants with daily living activities such as transportation, housing, and shopping.
