Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and to manage day-to-day operations and a staff of Package Handlers. You will hire, train, coach, evaluate and develop employees, plan workloads, and ensure safe, efficient sortation, while enforcing FedEx policies and government regulations.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience supervising in fast-paced environments (warehouse, fulfillment center, dock).
• Ability to manage staff with a focus on safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx's Safety Above All Culture and support related initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, recognize, and evaluate staff; manage performance and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees for safe, efficient package sortation and tracking of trailers.
• Lead meetings and communicate updates and daily goals to staff.
