Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and manage a staff of Package Handlers. You will ensure safe and efficient sortation, oversee administrative processes, and maintain compliance with FedEx policies and governmental regulations.

You will lead daily meetings, train new employees, and collaborate with other departments to optimize performance and reduce costs. Strong coaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college toward a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Six (6) months experience in package handling or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls day-to-day operations.
• Assigns and manages staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate goals and updates; public speaking as needed.
• Develops and administers safety strategies and programs.
• Mentor and develop junior Operations Supervisors.
• Investigate and resolve customer service issues and training needs.
