The role includes hiring, coaching, training, evaluating performance, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and process standards across the facility. Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or some college acceptable.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Six months experience in a package handler or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Champion FedEx Safety Above All culture and initiatives.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, performance evaluation and staff discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations.
• Assign and manage staff for safe and efficient sortation of packages; monitor cost and quality.
• Analyze performance and drive improvement of key metrics with action plans.
• Lead daily meetings for workforce communication and daily goals.
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety programs.
• Resolve or escalate customer service issues as needed.
• Train new employees on duties, performance expectations and FXG policies.
• Mentor and develop junior Operations Supervisors; adapt to changing needs.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree preferred

Associate's Degree or 2+ years college towards degree
