Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a frontline team in the inbound/outbound sortation process, upholding the Safety Above All Culture and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

You will hire, coach, train, and evaluate staff, plan daily work, manage performance, and apply FedEx policies and regulatory standards, while communicating with diverse audiences and mentoring newer supervisors.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or associate’s degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses toward a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily employee and/or planning meetings to communicate updates and daily goals.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage staff to ensure safe and efficient sortation and optimize costs and quality.
• Mentor and develop critical skills for new or less-experienced supervisors.
• Adapt quickly to change and engage employees in a positive, professional manner.
