Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, customer-friendly environment at our Sacramento-area store. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and work with leadership to reduce theft and protect assets.

The role emphasizes hands-on security, strong communication, and collaboration with store teams. Candidates should be able to stand/walk for extended periods, support shortage reduction programs, and adapt to a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance and greet customers entering or exiting the store.
• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to Manager on Duty.
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies and with leadership.
