Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, move waste or soil, and keep the site clean and safe throughout each shift.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, efficient operation, and timely reporting of repairs. Experience with OSHA-regulated sites is valued, and a comprehensive benefits package supports employees and families.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and maintain safety standards.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer and loader.
• Monitor waste and equipment conditions to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor servicing and document Equipment Condition Reports.
• Follow all safety policies and keep the shop clean and organized.
