Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at recycling/landfill sites, performing loading, spreading, covering, and compacting tasks. The role emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor servicing and report repairs to Maintenance Shop.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation.
• Follow all safety policies and keep shop clean and organized.
