Customs and Border Protection is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPAs) nationwide to play a critical role in protecting U.S. borders and enforcing immigration and customs laws.

The role offers competitive base pay at multiple grades, strong federal benefits, and retention incentives to support academy completion and prioritized locations. BPAs perform patrols, inspections, investigations, and security checks across diverse environments, using vehicles, vessels, horses, and technology.

Qualificações

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Ability to learn regulations and procedures through training and on-the-job instruction.
• Ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation and document review.

Responsabilidades

• Detect and question people suspected of violations; inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Patrol borders and coastal areas using various assets to prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and contraband.
• Interpret evidence and perform checks across farms, buildings, traffic, city patrols and transportation operations.
• Maintain surveillance and use night-vision equipment when necessary to support border security.
