Job summary

Base Power Company is seeking an EHS Professional to support our Texas field operations. You will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, address safety concerns, and strategize with site leaders to prevent injuries and ensure environmental compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety or environmental engineering and 3+ years of EHS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering with an emphasis on health, safety or environment is required.
• Minimum 3+ years designing and overseeing EHS programs in field operations.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proven incident investigation and root-cause analysis capability.
• Excellent communication with site leaders and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies and analyze manufacturing byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and apply guarding.
• Maintain documented safety observations from hazard identifications and audits.
• Investigate accidents and illnesses to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Develop safety solutions within budget and schedule constraints using hierarchy of controls.
• Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
