Job summary

Base Power Company seeks an EHS Engineer to support our field operations in Texas. You will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, address safety concerns, and ensure environmental compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities include implementing safety policies, conducting industrial hygiene studies, inspecting facilities and equipment, and managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste while collaborating with site leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety or environmental engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of EHS disciplines.
• Knowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems.
• Experience with emergency response and incident management for hazardous and non-hazardous material releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with regulations such as Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and implement machine guarding.
• Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes, corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Develop safety solutions to resolve EHS hazards/concerns within cost and schedule constraints including PPE.
• Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
