Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems is seeking an EHS Specialist to support safety, health, and environmental programs across our service and engineering teams. You will ensure OSHA/EPA/NFPA compliance, develop procedures, and promote a culture of safety at customer sites.

The role requires strong technical writing, field experience, and travel up to 30%. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years in safety management are essential, with ASP preferred.

Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency and experience with EHS management systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910, 1926 and 1904 regulations, EPA regulations, and NFPA standards.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience, preferably in electrical or industrial field service.
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or equivalent credential preferred.
• Experience conducting field audits, training, and incident investigations.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety compliance across Services and Engineering.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; report findings and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Maintain EHS records, training logs, and permits.
• Support prevention through design and rollout of safety initiatives.
• Deliver EHS training for new hires and existing staff.
• Assist with ergonomics assessments and injury prevention.
• Draft and update EHS procedures and safety plans.
• Coordinate with ISNetWorld, AVETTA, and other portals as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor programs per site.
• Support ISO certification efforts where applicable.
• Track EHS metrics and report trends to leadership.
• Translate regulations into clear procedures and guides.
