Job summary

Base, the next-generation power company, seeks an EHS Engineer to support Texas field operations. You will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, and ensure regulatory environmental compliance while partnering with site leaders to improve safety and prevent injuries.

You will develop and implement health and safety policies, conduct industrial hygiene studies, and oversee waste management. This hands-on, collaborative role supports rapid growth and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on health and safety and/or environmental engineering.
• Experience designing, developing and supervising EHS programs.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local safety/environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazard assessments and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with site leaders to implement health and safety policies.
• Conduct industrial hygiene studies and analyze byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify hazards and ensure machine guarding.
• Document safety observations and conduct regular hazard audits.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Develop safety solutions within cost and schedule constraints.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs.
