Job summary

Pearson Software Group - Content Platform (PSG-CP) is seeking a forward deployed engineer who embeds with customers, translates vague problems into working software, and ships AI-enabled solutions directly into production. You will work close to both stakeholders and code, delivering tangible results in real workflows.

You will operate autonomously within a fast-moving environment, driving AI adoption across Pearson while owning the full stack from frontend to observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with shipping production systems end to end.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is by working directly with internal stakeholders to understand pain points and design end-to-end systems.
• Conduct real discovery by sitting with users, observing workflows, asking questions, and translating needs into doable builds.
• Build during conversations by delivering working software quickly to elicit feedback.
• Handle messy inputs from various sources and transform them into coherent solutions.
• Ship production AI applications using frontier LLMs, agents, MCP servers, evaluation harnesses, and retrieval systems.
• Iterate across engagements with multiple versions in short cycles and adapt to changing requirements.
• Own the full stack including frontend, backend, data, deployments, observability, and stakeholder delivery.
• Codify reusable patterns and push improvements back to platform and engineering teams.
