Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and work with store leadership to reduce theft and maintain safety.

The role emphasizes knowledge of shortage areas, reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty, and assisting in training associates on loss-prevention programs. Flexible, part-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers entering or exiting the store with a friendly, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to management.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
