Job summary

Abacus Group, LLC, a global broker-dealer with a growing New York trading technology team, is seeking two Trading Systems Support Engineers to join their front-to-back office trading desk onsite in Midtown Manhattan.

This hands-on role covers FIX connectivity, client onboarding, and real-time trade processing across a global operation, with collaboration between US and APAC teams. Strong Linux/Unix background appreciated.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting trading systems in a financial services or brokerage environment.
• Solid working knowledge of the FIX protocol.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to troubleshoot data issues.
• General understanding of the front-to-back trading system stack.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound and outbound FIX messages across trading systems and daily health checks.
• Support onboarding of client FIX connections and conformance to internal standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve trading system issues raised by traders in real time.
• Support middle office post-trade systems and integration to clearing.
• Coordinate handover of systems with the APAC team as the trading day progresses.
• Use Linux/Unix tools to investigate logs, files, and data during troubleshooting.

A global broker dealer with a growing New York trading technology team is looking for two Trading Systems Support Engineers to join their front to back office trading desk. This is a hands-on role supporting FIX connectivity, client onboarding, and trade processing across a global trading operation, with close collaboration between the US and APAC teams.

What you'll do

• Monitor inbound and outbound FIX messages across trading systems, including daily health checks
• Support onboarding of client FIX connections, including message enrichment and conformance to internal standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve trading system issues raised by traders in real time
• Support middle office post-trade systems and integration to clearing
• Coordinate handover of systems and open issues with the APAC team as the trading day progresses
• Use Linux or Unix tools to investigate logs, files, and data as part of troubleshooting

What you bring

• 5+ years supporting trading systems in a financial services or brokerage environment (7+ preferred)
• Solid working knowledge of the FIX protocol
• Strong SQL skills, including querying and troubleshooting data issues
• General understanding of the trading system stack, front to back office
• Comfortable working in a Linux or Unix environment at a user level

• Onsite in Midtown Manhattan, 9 AM to 6 PM
• Fully onsite for the first 3 months, hybrid flexibility considered after based on performance
• Compensation roughly $120K to $150K depending on experience
