Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Engineer to provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms, and trading floor infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot issues across trading apps, market data feeds, desktops, and multi-monitor setups, while coordinating with application, network, and vendor teams to resolve incidents in a fast-paced environment. Remote and onsite support is required.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in Trader Support, Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.
• Experience supporting Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management or Brokerage environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms and trading floor infrastructure.
• Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa and OMS/EMS applications.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management and hardware deployments.
