Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Support Tech for a full-time role in New York. You will provide on-site and remote support to traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms, and trading floor infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in Trader Support or Financial Services IT, with strong Windows/Mac troubleshooting and experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years in Trader Support, Front Office Support, or Financial Services IT Support.
• Experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management or Brokerage environments.
• Strong Windows/Mac devices support and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft 365 and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users ensuring high availability of trading applications, market data platforms and trading floor infrastructure.
• Support trading and market data platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops and multi-monitor workstations.
• Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management and hardware deployments.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based support processes.
