Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Front office experience or background in general office work.
• Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understand HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
• Good organization skills and ability to operate a computer.
• Tact and diplomacy in interactions with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, process referrals.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Collect co-payments and outstanding patient balances.
• Ensure follow-up visits and annual well visits are scheduled.
• Provide administrative support to the practice operations as needed.
