Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service skills and experience.
• Previous experience with Athena system a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and organize front office tasks and workflow.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to take initiative, work well with an established team.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls and routes them to the appropriate staff.
• Schedules and coordinates physician clinic schedules.
• Checks in and checks out patients; verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and collects co-pays as applicable.
• Provides reminders for next day appointments and follows up on no-show patients.
• Scans documents into Athena and maintains patient records.
