Job summary

Hotel Oceana Santa Monica seeks a Front Office Manager to lead the front desk and guest services for a premier luxury hotel in Santa Monica. You will supervise front office staff, ensure seamless guest interactions, and work with on-site leaders to meet revenue and service goals.

Your background includes 3+ years in concierge/front desk/guest services within a luxury hotel and at least 2 years in supervision, with strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Three years of concierge/front desk/guest service experience in a luxury hotel.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in a hotel setting.
  • High school diploma or GED required; hospitality degree/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise front office staff and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Direct and coordinate front desk and guest services.
  • Hire, train and develop staff; address guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure regulatory obligations are met and assist with payroll/timecard processes.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team as a Front Office Manager at the #1 Hotel in Los Angeles, as voted by Travel and Leisure: Oceana in Santa Monica, CA. This oceanfront, all-suite hotel reopened in July 2019 after undergoing a $35 Million complete transformation, and we are now seeking motivated, enthusiastic professionals to become integral members of our team.As the Director of Front of House for the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, you directly supervise all front office staff and ensure proper completion of all front office responsibilities for the hotel. Then check your phone and email messages often for a message about scheduling a short phone interview.The How…You will use your five years of hotel experience (including two-plus years of front desk supervisory experience) in a four-star or five-star hotel to direct and coordinate the front desk and guest services daily. Your attention to detail will help the General Manager with other administrative responsibilities, such as preparing biweekly timecards for submission to payroll and assisting with vendor management.Your passion for the hospitality industry and deep understanding of all aspects of guest service in a hotel operation setting will be an asset as you will frequently work with the on-site leadership team to achieve revenue goals, hire, train and develop new staff, address guest concerns quickly and effectively, and ensure the hotel meets its regulatory obligations.Your friendly, efficient, and high-touch approach is perfect when engaging with guests and team members.
