A leading company in hospitality is seeking a Guest Service Attendant to provide exceptional service to guests. Responsibilities include checking in/out guests, processing payments, and maintaining guest areas. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a professional appearance. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
JOB TITLE: GUEST SERVICE ATTENDANT
USUAL TIME OF WORK SHIFT: Varies with facility needs. Full-time or part-time positions, variable hours per week.
BREAKS: Two breaks, and one ½ hour lunch, depending on shift.
OVERTIME: As necessary
MACHINES USED: Office machines, tools, and equipment, desktop or laptop computer.
TOOLS USED: General clerical office tools. ASSISTIVE DEVICES: Wheeled pushcarts
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Bilingual a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF WORKPLACE/WORKSTATION: The work takes place at various office locations within a hotel. These areas are level, carpeted, tiled, or have wood flooring, well-lit, and temperature-controlled. The Guest Service Attendant may be exposed to weather conditions when moving between outdoor and indoor areas. Operation of a motor vehicle may be required.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASKS/PURPOSE: The Guest Service Attendant performs services for guests, including registering arrivals, assigning rooms, checking out guests, maintaining records in a computer database, explaining charges, processing payments, and representing the establishment professionally. Additional responsibilities may include front office operations, basic bookkeeping, reservations, cashiering, and multi-line telephone operation.
