JOB TITLE: GUEST SERVICE ATTENDANT
Work Schedule: Varies with facility needs. Full-time or part-time positions, variable hours per week.
Breaks: Two breaks and one ½ hour lunch, depending on shift.
Overtime: As necessary
Machines Used: Office machines, tools, and equipment, desktop or laptop computer.
Skills & Abilities Required: Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Bilingual a plus.
Description of Workplace/Workstation: The work takes place at various office locations within a hotel. Surfaces are level, carpeted, tiled, or have wood flooring. All work areas are well-lit and temperature controlled. The Guest Service Attendant may be exposed to weather conditions when moving between outdoor and indoor areas. Operation of a motor vehicle may be required.
Description of Job Tasks/Purpose: The Guest Service Attendant performs services for guests, including registering arrivals, assigning rooms, checking out guests, maintaining records, explaining charges, and processing payments. They represent the establishment and influence public perception through courteous and helpful interactions. Responsibilities include addressing guest issues, delivering necessities, and possibly additional duties like front office operations, bookkeeping, reservations, cashiering, and multi-line telephone operation.
All employees must adhere to company work rules, procedures, and policies, including those in the Associate handbook. Willingness to perform other duties as assigned is required.
