We are hiring a Part-Time Golf Course Starter at Edgebrook Golf Course in Chicago, IL!

Ideal candidates are friendly, organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Golf Course Starters guide players to the first tee and manage the pace of play. Golf knowledge is preferred but not required; previous starting experience is not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional appearance
• Provide information about the golf course, play times, and related issues
• Assist guests with check-in to expedite their arrival
• Verify revenue recording by inspecting receipts before play
• Inform golf shop staff about pace of play off the first tee
• Supply guests with scorecards, pencils, and other items
• Advise guests on course conditions and pace of play
• Support all course policies and programs as directed by management
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license (if operating golf carts or range equipment)
• Strong work ethic
• Friendly personality and enjoyment of working with the public
• Organized, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependability
• Golf knowledge is a plus
