Job description

Department Overview:

Our home is located on the west side of Madison. Access to your own car would be necessary. We have a large inground pool and hot tub which you would be welcome to use while hanging out with our son. Our son is bright, funny and very sweet but has difficulty making friends. He is lonely, and would benefit from someone keeping him company while we are working during the day. Please note that we have a pet friendly home with a very friendly dog and cat.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Our son is in need of a companion four days a week, every other week, over the summer months. Our current need is for someone to keep him company on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 6 hours each day (10 AM - 4 PM). Our son is independent in all his cares, but is very lonely and would benefit from a companion that could engage him in preferred activities such as gaming on phone and console, doing art projects and perhaps going on outings such as movies, hiking or fishing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in child care/daycare or special education background appreciated.
  • Access to own car a must as we are not located on an easily accessible busline.
  • Willingness to play video games and join our son in fun activities.
