Job summary

Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown is seeking Front Desk Agents to create a welcoming guest experience, manage check-ins/outs, and assist across areas like the Bakery Café and meeting rooms. Roles require customer service focus, flexibility for AM/PM shifts, and weekend work in downtown Madison.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred, preferably in a hotel or related field.
• Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Agent (Hotel Host) delivers the guest experience at check-in and check-out and services the Hotel Host Stand and related spaces.
• Handles guest requests at the Bakery Café, Guest Kitchen, e-room and TV den.
• Maintains a clean, comfortable and inviting environment and supports meeting room servicing.

Front Desk Agents (Hotel Host) contribute to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The Hotel Host creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment. This position is responsible for the complete guest experience; to include the Hotel Host Stand, the Bakery Café, the Guest Kitchen, the e‑room and the TV den, guest check in and out and the servicing of the meeting rooms. Previous guest service experience as well as the ability to communicate well with guests required.

The shift for this position will vary based on business needs. Must be flexible to work AM/PM shifts and must be available to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as well.
