Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service.

You will monitor entrances, perform bag checks where appropriate, greet customers with a confident, energetic greeting, and report theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty. Flexible schedule incl. nights, weekends, holidays; competitive hourly wage and associate discount.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to prevent theft.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates per safety standards.
• Support and train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
