Job summary

Burlington Stores is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report any theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

Training and collaboration with store leadership are expected to prevent losses. Qualified candidates typically have 1+ years in customer service or retail, with strong communication skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or asset protection is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers; strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident greeting at entry and exit.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag checks following safety and security standards; train associates on shortage reduction programs.
