Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will be stationed at the store entrances/exits, monitoring for theft and maintaining safety with a confident presence.

Your role focuses on reducing theft opportunities, engaging with customers and associates, and reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty. Part-time hours, flexible scheduling, and associate discount accompany this position.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor store environment
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Monitor the store entrance/exit and high-risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident, and energetic greeting
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes
• Maintain safety and security standards and uphold Burlington’s policies during shifts
