Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate in Princeton, NJ to deter theft and protect assets while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor front-of-store areas with command presence, greet customers warmly, and help maintain a secure shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Confidentiality and disciplined decision making are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas to reduce theft and ensure store safety.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic greeting and maintain a confident presence.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and safety procedures.
