Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure and welcoming store environment. You will monitor entrances, greet customers with a warm smile, and support loss prevention efforts to reduce theft and protect assets.

Respond to incidents with professionalism, report suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty, and participate in shortage reduction trainings. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft and create a secure environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm, confident and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks ensuring safety and security standards.
• Support and participate in shortage reduction programs and training.
