Job summary

Destination Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations, coach staff, and uphold our hospitality standards in a high-volume environment. In partnership with the General Manager, you will manage service execution, labor and cost controls, guest relations, and daily financials, while modeling warmth, accountability, and professionalism on the floor.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in upscale or high-volume hospitality.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead calmly and confidently under pressure.
• Financial literacy and cost awareness.
• Commitment to excellence, hospitality, and team development.
• TIPS certification required (or able to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise front-of-house operations during service.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
• Conduct daily lineups, pre-shift communication, and service execution with clarity.
• Foster communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations.
• Serve as a visible leader on the floor during service.
• Monitor daily sales, labor, and cost controls using POS and scheduling tools.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost awareness.
• Manage cash handling, daily reconciliations, and paperwork.
• Participate in monthly manager meetings and finance discussions.
• Complete payroll reports, invoices, disciplinary docs, and worker comp forms.
