Job summary

Northern Waters Casino Resort in Michigan is seeking a Front of the House Lead Cashier to supervise dining room staff, ensure fast, courteous service, and maintain a high standard of appearance and operations in the absence of management.

You will handle guest interactions, scheduling, money handling, and compliance with gaming and health standards. The role demands leadership, problem solving, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must pass background checks and maintain a Gaming License.
• Must complete TIPS training.
• Must become a certified Food Handler.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to guests with active engagement and positive attitude.
• Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests and handles complaints with courtesy.
• Must know and enforce proper techniques/recipes with all menu items.
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates dining room staff to ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Inspects dining room for cleanliness and safety; monitors staff adherence to cleaning and stocking responsibilities.
• Schedules work hours and keeps time records of dining room workers.
• Read, implement and adhere to NWCR policies and procedures, gaming regulations and standards.
• Train and empower staff to make proper decisions, including cut-off procedures.
• Oversee money handling and ensure staff follows procedures.
