Job summary

Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG) is hiring a Host for Union 50 in Indianapolis. You will be the first point of contact, greeting guests, managing the waitlist and reservations, and coordinating with servers to ensure a welcoming, smooth dining experience.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional guest interaction, strong organization, and the ability to handle busy periods. Training is provided and weekend/evening shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus.
• Previous host/hostess experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Guest Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests and manage waitlists and reservations, escort to tables, present menus and assist as needed.
• Reservation Management: Take and confirm reservations and maintain an up-to-date reservation book; communicate special requests to staff.
• Guest Assistance: Provide information on menu items, daily specials, and promotions; assist with coat check and inquiries.
• Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient seating and service; relay important guest information.
• Waitlist & Guest Flow: Track waiting guests, notify when tables are ready, and communicate wait times to guests.
• Maintenance: Keep the host/hostess stand and waiting area clean and organized; ensure materials are available.
