Job summary

Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG) seeks a friendly Host for BRU Burger in Plainfield, IN. You will be the first point of contact, greet guests, manage waitlists, and guide guests to tables with menus and assistance.

Responsibilities include reservations, guest information, coordinating with servers and kitchen, maintaining cleanliness of the host stand, and ensuring smooth seating. Must be able to stand for long periods and work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus.
• Previous host/hostess experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them; manage waitlist and reservations; guide guests to tables with menus and assistance.
• Take and confirm reservations via phone or reservation system; maintain up-to-date book.
• Provide guests with information about the restaurant, menu, daily specials, and promotions; assist with coat check.
• Maintain effective communication with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seating and service.
• Keep track of waiting guests, notify when tables are ready, and communicate wait times.
• Keep the host stand and waiting area clean, organized, and well-stocked; ensure menus and promos are ready.
