Job summary

Universal Store in Arizona is seeking a friendly host to greet guests in a timely, cheerful manner and seat them as tables become available. You will help maintain a positive dining experience for every guest and support the team in delivering top-notch service.

The role involves greeting guests, managing seating flow, answering phones for to-go orders, and keeping dining areas clean and organized according to IHOP SOP guidelines.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and speak English, understand guest checks, warnings and safety labels.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests within 30 seconds and seat them when a table is available.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Rotate station seating to ensure quality of guest service.
• Answer the telephone and take To Go orders.
• Clear, clean and reset tables and maintain restrooms.
• Adhere to IHOP uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
