Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate in North Las Vegas to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

Work includes standing at store entrances, knowing theft trends, and engaging customers with a confident, friendly greeting. You will report suspicious activity and support shortage reduction programs while upholding Burlington's safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and confident, energetic greeting
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs
• Maintain safety standards and professional appearance at all times
