Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a First Line Supervisor to direct hourly staff in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost targets. You will supervise a 10-20 person team, plan procedures and budgets under a collective bargaining agreement, and drive continuous improvement through Lean methods and standardized work.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and experience in a unionized setting, with proficiency in SAP/Kronos and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/industrial/chemical plant environment preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience working in Kellogg Ammonia Plant preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to achieve operational targets
• Plan and administer procedures and budgets under the collective bargaining agreement
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and mentor team leaders and employees
• Manage a 10-20 person department to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost goals
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
